Therapy for Real Life

Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and start moving toward what feels better. I work with adults who may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for something to change. My goal is to offer a warm, thoughtful space where you can feel understood while also finding practical ways to move forward.

How I Work

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I want therapy to feel like a space where you can be honest, feel understood, and also make meaningful progress. Together, we’ll look at the patterns, experiences, and challenges that may be keeping you stuck and find realistic ways to move forward.

Who I Help

I work with adults who may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out, disconnected, or unsure of what comes next. You may be navigating a major life transition, relationship stress, changes in your identity or priorities, or simply feeling like the way you have been coping is no longer working. Additionally, I work with couples utilizing an evidence based treatment, Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy. This therapy focuses on behavioral changes in interactions with a deep focus on emotional acceptance. I am happy to discuss this treatment model more with you prior to getting started in couple’s therapy.

My Experience

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. For ten years, I dedicated my career to serving Veterans within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), walking alongside individuals navigating complex co-occurring challenges, trauma, and significant life transitions. Working in such a rich and diverse clinical setting taught me a fundamental truth: human struggle is complex, and real healing requires a thoughtful, integrative approach rather than a rigid, one-size-fits-all plan. My time at the VA deeply shaped my clinical philosophy. I believe true growth happens when deep empathy, non-judgmental acceptance, and active collaboration come together. Today, I bring that extensive clinical grounding to my private practice, providing virtual therapy for individuals and couples throughout Illinois.

What You Can Expect

Whether you are an individual feeling stuck in anxiety, processing past experiences, or a couple working to rebuild trust and communication, my approach is warm, practical, and deeply collaborative. Rather than treating therapy as a mechanical process, I weave these approaches into our conversations organically. We will work as a team to help you navigate discomfort, gain fresh perspective, and build a fulfilling life that aligns with who you truly are.
